Use

Suitable for all skin types, Aleppo black soap should be used once a week. Apply the soap paste to the whole body, leave for 5 to 10 minutes then use a kessa glove for a vigorous exfoliation or a loofah glove for a gentler exfoliation.

For a real Hammam-style treatment, here are
the secrets of a traditional exfoliation:
Relax in a hot bath to dilate the pores of the skin and allow the black soap to have its full effect. Apply the black soap to the whole body and leave for 5 to 10 minutes.

Rinse with warm water then massage vigorously with a black glove (kessa), scrubbing the whole body with broad movements. Rinse again with cold water. Your skin will be perfectly clean and soft, rid of stubborn impurities.

Origin

Originally made in South-east Morocco, black (or soft soap) has been used for centuries and is very much part of Eastern tradition, particularly during the Hammam ritual.
